The service
Tactic Library is a directory of links to game guide sites. It does not offer accounts, payments, or file uploads. Filtering by game or site name, tag, and language runs in your browser. Filter conditions may appear in the query string of a shareable URL; opening or refreshing that URL also sends it to our server. WithLegends is a separate service on a related domain. Tactic Library does not access WithLegends accounts or group data.
Question-based web search and AI summaries were discontinued on October 15, 2026. Directory searches are not sent to Tavily or AI providers.
Storage and hosting
The guide catalog is read at build time from a separate Neon database for this service. The public site serves the built catalog, and visitors cannot change it.
The database may still contain data saved by the former question-search feature: SHA-256 hashes of questions, summaries, source URLs and excerpts, search and expiry times, call metrics, and request-limit counters derived from IP addresses using HMAC. Summaries, excerpts, and former search metrics may include text entered by users. We did not delete this historical data when the service changed. Directory browsing does not read or add to that cache. Expiration alone does not physically delete data after question search has stopped.
Vercel may process IP addresses, request URLs, and device or browser information for hosting, security, and error handling. Records and retention held by former external search or AI providers are governed by those providers' settings and policies.
Vercel analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to review site usage, such as visited pages and referral sources. Vercel says this feature does not use cookies and creates hash-based visitor identifiers from requests; it may process page paths, referrer pages, country, device, and browser information for aggregate analytics. We view these statistics in the Vercel project dashboard. You can use your browser's tracking protection to limit collection. This is separate from Google advertising cookies and personalized-ad settings.
Google ads and cookies
Public content pages load the Google AdSense script. Google and third-party advertising providers may use cookies to serve ads based on visits to this site or other sites. Ad delivery and measurement may also use web beacons, IP addresses, and similar identifiers. The ad tag may make server requests even when no ad is displayed. Whether ads are served depends on Google's approval and advertising and consent settings.
You can manage or opt out of personalized ads in Google My Ad Center. You can opt out of participating advertising companies' personalized-ad cookies at YourAdChoices. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Opting out of personalized ads may still allow non-personalized ads.
Where Google consent messages are available, use their controls to manage your choices. Required regional consent messages and preference controls must be published in Google's privacy and messaging settings; this policy page itself does not collect consent.
External sites
Guide links open external sites in a new tab, where those sites' privacy policies apply. Guide pages are not embedded or executed on Tactic Library. Game thumbnails and site-identification images are served from this site's image paths. Rights in guide content and images belong to their respective owners.
